Felix & Meena: Till Infinity
A GLIMPSE OF THE FUTURE
There’s no secret to a successful marriage. In fact, every union is bounded by different dynamics. However, there are a few ‘tried and tested’ ways to enjoy a longer-lasting marriage. And they are truly quite simple.

A FULFILLING MARRIAGE
It’s always good to have heads up about the unknown. Ideally, marriages are supposed to last forever. Nevertheless, we see a lot of couples fall along the line, perhaps because they failed to seek advice on what to expect.
So here are some of the best relationship advice you’d ever get:
1. Common Ground
“Opposites may attract in the movies, but they don’t make great marriage partners.”
It’s always easier in relationships to have things in common than to have many differing views. Therefore, you need to choose a partner that is more like you.
That means sharing core values and interests and having a similar outlook on life. This way, you are more likely to agree on the same things; minimizing the inevitable ― misunderstandings and fights.
2. Team Work
“Support one another, whatever the problems may be, good or bad. Stick together.”
This is a follow up from our first point. It’s pretty much like working in a group at work. It’s a recipe for disaster if people start to do things contrary to the plan, or when people tend to ignore the other’s problems.
Your marriage is bound to succeed when each one sees problems as collective to the couple, rather than as individuals. Any difficulty, illness, or setback experienced by one member of the couple is the other partner’s responsibility. Likewise any accomplishments and achievements.
3. Fights, fights, fights
“Everything cannot always be perfect and that’s not a bad thing.”
It is recommended to be open about one’s feelings in marriage. However, sometimes, these come with repercussions. You may hurt the feelings of your spouse in the process.
The key to surviving this is by not taking things to heart. “You do have a difference of opinion, but don’t break up just over that. That’s silly because you could be ruining a good relationship,” Olive, married for 68 years, told BuzzFeed.
All you need to do is get over it. Keep it moving ― do not go to bed angry.
4. Fun Forever
Never stop having fun as a couple. This is very crucial to having a long-lasting marriage. Keep the romance alive by spending time together doing the things you loved even before getting married.
Laugh together, play together ― and if possible, spend time apart if it makes you happy. Be willing to step out of your comfort zone occasionally just to keep the relationship fresh and interesting. Psychology found that couples are more happy with their relationship after taking part in “exciting” activities.
5. Physical attraction
Inner beauty does not cut it every day. You need to physically appeal to your partner as often as possible.
Many get carried away by the fact that they live together with their spouse, and tend to feel too comfortable with their look. But do not forget that “every relationship begins with a physical attraction of some kind.” Hence it makes sense to sustain it.
Dress up, stay fit & healthy ― do your best to look beautiful/handsome now and then. It only takes a little effort. Keep the sexual spark alive always, regardless of your situation.
